View of North Broadway, 7:00 pm

14"x11", oil on linen, NFS
I did this one hour sketch as a farewell demo for the gang in art/design dept. of BSS last week - looking right through the window on the 11th Fl of the Studio. It's a quick record ( I was racing to catch up with the changing light ) of the feel of the sunset view over Broadway at White Plains which I've been looking at every single working day in the past 3 plus years. Ciao, Soon!

I was there. He really finished this in 30 minutes. Last thirty minutes were just detailing and him talking about the process. Legend.

Bluesky will miss your mastery Jie. I love this painting btw. memories of that freezing cold walk to the studio pop in (altho it's obviously a beautiful day you captured here). Best of luck on your new ventures my friend.

Wow Jie. All of your paintings are breath-taking. I'm so inspired to set aside me tablet, get away from my computer, and just paint. I can actually say that I miss the smell and the mess of oil paints. :)
You make it look so easy. Thanks for the inspiration!

Awesome light, love the color you caught as the sun is hitting the rightside buildings, very nice. i also like the holes of sun peaking through and hitting the trees and ground beneath, great display, thanks!
